We held the farewell party because we wanted to say bye bye to our beloved pastors Rick and Barb as they have been with us for two years we are so grateful and physically painful to say bye-bye to them. The part was conducted on 17th February, 2019 afternoon 5pm in the church room no. 602.
The part went very well although the environment was not so happy because of cries and sad environment but also better and Joyful because of new missionary work and new environment favorable for their health conditions.
Different people attended the party and the number were over 50 people from almost all zones including Chinese zones and pastors leaded by Rev. Kao and Rev. Yuping. Different dishes were prepared by Vivian, Evy, Jacq, Julia, and other facilities were bought by life group members and other brothers and sisters in church brought different dishes where everybody ate. Part began on time by the prayers from Pastor Kao and after the prayers was the group photo where different groups took pictures with Rick and Barb and then we changed the room to Joshua hall and see the short video and we got time to give Rick and barb gifts and we all prayed for them.
Rick and Barb have been equipping us to dig deep in word of God and knowing more the truth about God’s words in the Bible. Surely, we had started the journey of knowing more about the Word of God and know the purpose of our creation and the Christian life Hope, Love, Joy and Humbleness from the Bible.
We cried this day as it was hard to say bye, but we still thank God for the bright future He has put in front of his faithful servants Pastor Rick and Barb during their stay in Hualien and also the remaining church and pastors upon their progress.

2019年2月17日下午五點鐘於602教室，英文牧區為白牧師夫婦舉辦歡送派對，為了感謝Rick和Barb在過去兩年的服事。我們帶著感恩及難過向他們說再見。
整個歡送派對進行地非常順利。雖然大家帶著眼淚離情依依，但也因為白牧師夫婦未來所要展開的新宣教工作，以及對他們健康更理想的生活環境而感到開心。
前來參與派對的人數超過50人，也有來自華文部的其他牧區。高牧師、玉萍牧師、和其他牧者也前來共襄盛舉。英文牧區的Vivian, Evy, Jacq, Julia預備了許多美味餐點。英文小組的弟兄姊妹和教會其他牧區的弟兄姊妹也帶了好吃的食物跟大家分享。高牧師以禱告開始整場聚會，禱告之後，大家一起拍團體照，也輪流跟Rick和Barb合照。享用美食之後，我們移動到約書亞廳，欣賞送給白牧師夫婦的歡送短片。我們輪流送禮物給他們，也為他們代禱。
Rick和Barb致力於以神的話裝備英文牧區弟兄姊妹，幫助大家踏上了解聖經的真理的旅程，明白我們被造的目的，從聖經中領受基督徒生命的盼望、慈愛、喜樂、謙卑。
雖然淚眼歡送再見，我們仍舊感謝神，因為無論是移居到花蓮的白牧師伉儷，或是留在台南的教會牧者及弟兄姊妹，神都為祂忠心的僕人預備了璀璨的未來。
