In the English Zone there are people from different parts of the world. For the purposes of knowing better about each other, obtaining the insight of Christ Kingdom, seeing and praying for the needs of other countries, English Zone began the monthly international gathering last week, focusing on learning about a specific country and praying for it.
英語事工的成立讓許多來到台灣的國際友人可以在教會落腳生根。這些國際朋友來自世界各地，為了更加了解彼此的國家背景現況，提升基督國度的眼光，看見各國的代禱與宣教需要，英文牧區展開每月一次的國際聚會，每次聚會焦點在認識一個國家並為其禱告。
The theme of the first gathering was South Africa. Dylan, Elaine, Frank, and Lauren, who are all from South Africa, gave a presentation about the political condition, natural environment, culture and economics, and current education situation of South Africa. They also prepared delicious typical South African dishes for everyone to taste and enjoy. South Africa’s breath-taking beaches, interesting natural environment, and wild-life conservations attract many tourists to visit this country.
第一次聚會主題由南非來的Dylan、Elaine、Frank、Lauren介紹該國的政治、自然、文化、經濟、教育現況，他們也準備了美味可口的南非餐點讓大家享用。南非美麗動人的海灘、多元的環境生態、野生動植物保育區吸引很多慕名而來的觀光客。
They also said that South Africa has an extreme gap between the poor and the rich. AIDS/HIV is a seriously deadly problem in the country. Racial discrimination also increases violent crime rate and causes white people’s immigration to other countries. The current government is corrupted and unstable. Although 81% of population is Christian, the people’s spiritual life is not as ideal as the number.
四位南非的弟兄姊妹也分享到，南非的貧富差距很大，愛滋病人口為全球前幾名。種族歧視是長期嚴重問題，犯罪謀殺率很高，許多白人選擇移民。現任總統涉及貪污強暴等罪嫌，政治環境動盪不穩。雖然全國有81%人口是基督徒，但信仰生活卻不如數據理想。
After the presentation, all the participants were divided into groups to pray for South Africa, praying for this country being saved, changes in how the country is governed, safety in the society, AIDS problems, social vulnerable groups, and more rainfall. May revival fall upon South Africa through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
介紹完南非這個國家，大家進入分組代禱的時間，為了南非能得到神的救恩、國家政府、執政掌權者、社會治安、愛滋病的問題、弱勢團體、及足夠的降雨量來禱告。但願南非與其中的人民能夠得著耶穌救恩並且產生復興與翻轉。
