On December 17th an awesome group of people came together as a family, all children of our Heavenly Father, to celebrate His birthday. A great performance done by volunteer actors; the story was about a reindeer that left the North Pole on the search for the real reason behind Christmas. He knew there was more to it than just delivering gifts to children with Santa. His search began as soon as he met a friendly and interesting old lady on the airplane and continued with a guard at Buckingham palace on his search for the king, a Nurse at the hospital to look for baby Jesus and she showed him to a Church. His whole journey, in disguise, he couldn’t believe that everyone was seeing right through them! At Church he found out why we have Christmas. It doesn’t matter how far away you think you are from God, He will never leave your side. With Christmas carols, hot chocolate, snacks, candlelight and family, we celebrated the real reason for December 25th. Our King had been born!  Mat...

Seven perfectly set tables bursting with all things Thanksgiving from snacks to seasonal pine cones to candles to custom made utensil sleeves, two plump turkeys waiting to be carved, cranberry sauce, the creamiest mash potatoes and gravy, breads, salads, vegetables, homemade oatmeal apple crumble, pumpkin pie, and so much love and appreciation to bring it all together.  Everything was beautifully decorated with all the details to make Thanksgiving really come alive. All the love and hard work that went into creating this special banquet embraced us at the door the moment we stepped in. It was wonderful to see old friends with new friends enjoying time together, kickstarting the much anticipated holiday season.  Being thankful is such an important theme in God’s Word. October 15, Sunday was Paiwan night. We shared delicious and wonderful food brothers and sisters brought, the delicacy Cinavu from Paiwan tribe and the cake Barb has made.  After dinner, Sandra Meng Gerger has told us a story. Legend has it, the ancestors of Paiwan tribe were descendants of the sun. When the sun shined on the two eggs, then Paiwan prince and prince came out from the eggs. Therefore, the Paiwan tribe is also called the descendants of sun. Sandra also told us that the traditional clothes of Paiwan tribe is usually worn in the weddings and festivals. Every bead is handmade and sewed on the clothes, which made the clothes very elegant. Pastor Lydia also shared with that the most of the youth will move to the city to study or to work. Therefore, we can pray for the church and families in the Paiwan tribe and also they can resume the function in their families. Gaining God’s Heart for the World; South Korea Revealed was Sunday evening, August 13th. Over 40 people gathered at Rick and Barb’s apartment as the English Zone spent time learning about and praying for South Korea. Pei-Chien Tsai, Ryan Hauser, Iman Liu, and Joe Wang shared facts and photos from the times they spent living there. Joe led us in a special time of worship and prayer for the South Korean church, for the many missionaries they send out, for the young generation, the culture, and government.  Pei Chen and several of her friends cooked a variety of great Korean food for us. 【English Zone / Joyce Liu】On April 29th we set off for the first joint English congregation day trip to Kenting. Some of us have paid regular trips to Kenting before, who bought along useful and fun gears like snorkel and tent for shade. The two-hours road trip to Kenting was full of great sight-seeing of open sea view, lovely chatting and games while some catch up on sleeps. We made short stops along the way for toilet and a bit of snack to pamper our taste bud. Arriving at Kenting before the noon, the first wise thing we did was set up the tent for shade, a MUST under the scorching sun. Looking around our neighbor we had the fortunate opportunity to meet a missionary from the State who has served in Taiwan for over a decade. While Pastor Yu-Ping and Rick happily chat away with the missionary, others were excited to go enjoy the sea. What is God doing in your life? 【English Zone/Allen.S Chang】Last Friday about 15 people gathered at Pastor Rick’s place for the bible study in English. It began with a multilingual worship song which is stunning. Pastor Rick shared with us about what God is doing in our life. He used 2 Peter 1:2-3 and various supporting verses to show that God works in us, we need to pay attention to what God is working on, and He renews us so that we will not be the same. The homework is to read Romans 8 at least twice. We all look forward for the next bible study. 神在你的生命中作的工是什麼? 【英語牧區/張頌恩報導】上禮拜五有15位弟兄姐妹參加了在白牧師家第一次的英文查經。開始的敬拜白牧師所選的詩歌以數種語言(英文，廣東話，西班牙文，還有其他聽不懂的語言)讚美在我們生命中行奇妙神蹟的上帝。然後白牧師以彼得後書1:2-3說明神在我們生命中做工的方式，以及耶穌昨日今日明日永不改變的應許，所以我們的生命從昨日今日到永遠就再也不一樣。回家功課是詳讀羅馬書第八章只少兩次。參加的弟兄姊妹都非常期待下次的聚會。

【International Ministry / Yuting Lin】On November 27, the International Ministry hosted a first-time ever Thanksgiving luncheon, and it was very successful. The International Ministry decided to host another first-time ever Christmas Lunch Party on December 25 to invite more international friends to celebrate Christmas. 【國際事工部 / 林鈺婷 翻譯】上個月台南聖教會國際事工部第一次在十一月二十七日舉辦了感恩節聚餐，受到熱烈迴響，本月聖誕節適逢週日，國際事工部再度舉辦首次的聖誕午宴，邀請更多國際友人一起歡度聖誕佳節。

【本報訊】自本月開始，教會正式開始了「全英語主日」以及「晚崇拜」的主日聚會，透過不同的方式，使更多的人能夠一起來到聖殿當中瞻仰上帝的榮美、領受生命道路的智慧。 上午英文堂的聚會，絡繹不絕的人將約書亞廳擠得水洩不通，目前外國朋友的人數不算太多，但使教會看見了會友對於英文所展現的興趣以及英文堂未來接續發展的遠景。雖然頭兩次的聚會，仍舊有許多尚待調整的部份，但大家在主裡所享受的喜樂以及愛，大過於了人所看的缺乏。

【英文小組/尤榮輝報導】許多人也許注意到了，在教會熙來攘往的人潮裡有越來越多的外國臉孔。是的，在可預見的未來，將會更多的國際友人走進台南聖教會。
